The Integration Day is a prerequisite for taking Healing Dance 2.
Prerequisites: Healing Dance 1.
Credits: Healing Dance 1 Integration Day is recognized by WABA (Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association) and gives 8 hours of credit for registration with WABA and Watsu India.
Ashaman
I have been dancing and healing in the water since my first training with Alexander in 1999, when I discovered an altogether unexpected love for aquatic bodywork. I realized that I could apply postural movement awareness from martial art to this unique shared therapeutic dance in warm water, and the fluidity and dynamic grace inherent in aquatic bodywork immediately touched my center. Integrating my passions for body awareness, enhanced consciousness through movement, and relating, I studied most of the prominent aquatic modalities, and in 2005 was among the early few certified to teach Healing Dance by Alexander. Since then I continue to immensely enjoy leading Healing Dance trainings in the United States, Europe, Israel and India. I am currently one of a small handful of instructors who certify Healing Dance Surface practitioners. I teach the Introduction to Healing Dance, Healing Dance 1 & 2, Relating & Mirroring, Healing Dance Underwater Basics, and the 50 hr underwater course Shape & Space.
In addition to my experience in the water I am a very active father of a 3 ½ year old son, have practiced and taught Eastern and Western bodywork for over 20 years, am fascinated with breath and the martial arts, instruct sustainable movement and fitness practices, have worked as a climbing arborist in the tall trees of Hawaii and am a dedicated student of the classical & flamenco guitar… and I look forward to meeting you in the water!
